Fox sweater by Dale of Norway

Before blocking :

After a wash and blocking :

Changed the neckband to copper as I had run out of the black yarn and besides, I think it goes better with the sleeves and the way the body ended at the neck :

Did a picot hem at the sleeves (instead of ribbing) :

Alcea

Designer : Beatrice Smith
Book : Simply Shetland 3
Notes : Alcea, as designed, was a pullover. It has a 48 stitch pattern and the designer only gave instructions for 2 sizes, 36 inches and 48 inches in the chest. Since neither of these would work for me, I did an in between size.

I also changed it to a longish (below the hip line) jacket with garter stitch edge treatments.

4 by 4, miter blanket

Pattern : based on Hanne Falkenberg's Lastrada

The ballband said 4.5 to 5 stitches per inch and so I began with 240 stitches x2, hoping to end up with a 4 by 4 feet square.

Yarn :

14 balls KnitPicks Wool of the Andes from the abandoned Panes bag
10 balls KnitPicks Wool of the Andes from the abandoned bigger, Vertical Stripe bag
4 balls KnitPicks Wool of the Andes from the abandoned Nanatasket basket
3 Cascade 220 from the abandoned entrelac Market bag
numerous other leftovers
